MP Warns of Divisive Remarks

TEHRAN, June 10 (Mehr News Agency) -- A member of the Majlis minority faction said here that everyone making remarks and speeches that increase tension should cease and desist.

Referring to the recent statements of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in which he elaborated on the U.S. plans for dealing with Iran, Moussa Qorbani said that the U.S. aims to target the people who are the essence and the principles of the Islamic Revolution.

"The United States attempts to instigate the nation to be indifferent toward the system and its future," the MP representing Qaenat told the Mehr News Agency.

"The U.S. is resorting non-military means to confront Iran and plans to create discord among the people," he said calling for unity and solidarity among the statesmen as the "only practical way" to deal with the U.S. threats.

Just as in the Imam's era, the lawmaker suggested, serious measures should be taken to deal with remarks that increase tension.

"There should be an authority responsible for dealing with speeches that cause tension," he urged.
